Math / Science Tutor and Mentor

Juan Pablo Ocampo graduated from the California Institute of Technology in 2015 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business, Economics, and Management. He has been tutoring since middle school. His main strengths are math subjects, especially Geometry, but he also has a strong interest in physics. Being director of Innoworks, as well as a mentor and Chief of Recruitment, his time at Caltech provided him with valuable experiences that he applies to get everyone interested in the sciences and math. As the oldest of six children, he has been helping his younger sisters in their school efforts and continues to do so today.

Juan was in the Mu Alpha Theta chapter of his high school, which participated in math competitions at a regional, state, and national level. Along with this, he was a member of the Science Olympiad and Science Bowl to keep learning in a more entertaining way. He is also a big fan of sports and is bilingual with Spanish, so feel free to talk about that if the work is getting overwhelming and you need a break! His hope is that he can help you love math or science as much as he does, and at the same time provide you with the skills to succeed not only now but in the future with whatever path you choose.
