Garrett Levine

Math / Science Tutor and Mentor

Garrett is from Columbus, Ohio and is currently an undergraduate physics major at Caltech. In high school, he tutored students in both STEM and humanities classes. For the past two years, he's interned for labs working in computer modeling. First, he worked with chemical modeling of copolymer systems in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at Ohio State. Currently, he's working at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Planetary Science, where he explores the ocean chemistry of Jupiter's moon Europa, perhaps the most intriguing site to look for extraterrestrial life in the solar system.

He loves sharing his passion for science with those younger than him because of his high school physics teacher. Before his junior year, he didn't have a science mentor, but it was through her help that Garrett was inspired to pursue physics in college. Through tutoring, he hopes to make the same difference for others.
